June 2021 ~ Visit to Nashua, Iowa

We unintentionally drove past the famous "Little Brown Church in the Vale" during a recent cross-country journey. Not long ago I read the history of the familiar country hymn about this church while creating a piano arrangement of the song. I never dreamed I would ever actually visit the church but as we were driving to visit relatives in Minnesota, we noticed a little road-side attraction sign pointing to the historic "Little Brown Church" just 3 miles off the highway near the little town of Nashua, Iowa. Of course we took the short detour and stopped to take pictures and look inside. Below are some photos of the actual historic church in Nashua, the video I created before our visit to the church, and the sheet music for my piano solo arrangement.
